The Difference Between Efficiency and Effectiveness

Often, the terms efficiency and effectiveness are used interchangeably, but they aren’t the same. You’ll sometimes see the distinction described thus: “Effectiveness is doing the right things; efficiency is doing things right.”
If this sounds confusing, think about it another way: Effectiveness is about the result. Efficiency is about the process itself.
