Q. A vendor of ours provided us a W-9 with the following information (hypothetical names): Box 1 (Name) = John Doe Box 2 (Business Name) = John Doe Consulting, LLC Box 3 = Checked box for Individual/Sole Proprietor or single member LLC Provided an EIN, but not a social security number Given this information, what is the correct way to report this information on a 1099-Misc or 1099-NEC.
