How long should a check be cashable before it's void?

Q. I have a quick question for our panelists. We are looking to insert the verbiage “Void after xx days” on our checks and are looking to see what is best practice across the industry. 1. Do you have “Void after xx days.” printed on your AP checks? 2. If so, how many days is “xx”? A.
