Vendor requesting change in status after filing date

Q.¬†Our organization had a situation where a vendor asked, in February of 2020, if they would be issued a 1099. We informed them that because the W-9 provided to us on 8/23/2019 listed their classification as a LLC - S Corp, we were not required to report their payments on a 1099-MISC. Later in February 2020, the vendor provided us an updated W-9 that changed their business classification from S Corp to Individual.
