Four Practical Steps to Measuring AR Performance

Measuring your performance and benchmarking those results isn't easy or inexpensive – but it’s fundamental to any process improvement effort. Four steps to consider before measuring:

1. Know Why You’re Measuring – focus on what you need to know.
2. Know What You’re Measuring – include a mix of leading, lagging and in-progress indicators
3. Know How You’re Going to Measure – How much confidence do you have in the data? Is it complete and accurate? How would you know?
4. Know What You’ll Do with the Results – if you can’t agree on what you’ll do with the data, don’t collect it in the first place
