Q. My company has to file 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC every year. Normally, we would combine both 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC on one text file for the FIRE submission. Recently, we noticed that the system allows multiple files to be uploaded for the 1099 filing. Does that mean it is ok to separate the NEC and MISC into two different text files for the submission.
