Q. We have multiple properties located in two different states. We have the same EIN for the different properties; however, we have different state IDs. If a person wins a promotion in Michigan for $2,000 that meets the 2026 Federal threshold for issuing a 1099, and also wins a promotion for $500 in the state of Indiana, is the reporting amount for gross income $2,500? To clarify, these are prizes/promotions that are won at the casino, and the gross income is reported in Box 3 of the 1099-MISC…
