Q. Our company paid an elementary school which is located next to our property for use of their land for parking during our tennis tournament. We received a W-9 form from the school organization and box 3a had OTHER checked; NON-PROFIT. Are non-profits exempt from reporting 1099? If not exempt, do I report as parking or rent? A.
