Filing Form 8809 Extensions Through IRIS for TY2026

Q. How are we supposed to submit the Form 8809 extension now that IRS is moving to IRIS for tax year 2026? Used to go to the FIRE site to submit the form, but now our company is in the works to transition to IRIS A2A. A. (Answered by IOFM's third-party tax expert) If you are set up on IRIS, you would e-file it via IRIS, same as you did in FIRE. #128776
