Q. We have a Canadian supplier who will be fabricating steel and shipping it to us in South Florida. They provided us with a W-8BEN form and they have a Canadian Foreign GST tax number. We are trying to determine if the Canadian supplier should be subjected to the 30% tax withholding from their payments. The Canadian supplier will be issuing the invoices to us.
