Q. We paid a foreign vendor by credit card, but they won't provide a W-8 form. I'm preparing to file our Forms 1042 and 1042-S but don't have complete information for all fields, I only have a US address for this vendor. Our credit card company charged an international transaction fee, confirming they're a foreign entity. Do I still file a 1042-S with incomplete information, or only file Form 1042? A.
