Q. We recently issued a payment of $112,000 ($95,000 principal + $17,000 accrued interest) via a stipulated final judgment in an eminent domain case. The check was made payable to a Law Firm PA Trust Account on behalf of their client (an LLC). Since this was a court-ordered judgment paid to an attorney PA, are we required to report the full $112,000 in Box 10 of Form 1099-MISC, even though it relates to a real estate taking?
