Q. Our TIN Check provider returns multiple types of results when checking TINs, including an IRS TIN and name check and an EIN name check. Would you proceed with the W9 originally provided in the attached two scenarios or wait for more information? 1. IRS TIN and name check says “request not processed” but EIN name check returns a name that matches exactly what we entered – should we proceed or try the TIN Check again later first to see if the IRS check is a match before proceeding?
