Q. Can you void uncashed checks issued to charities and reissue to another charity? I think that would be viewed as us trying to circumvent the escheat laws. In my opinion, if a check was made payable to one charity and they went out of business/didn't cash the check, we would need to escheat it but is there a law/rule around that? A.
