Q. Our university's travel reimbursement policy works on an accountable plan basis. We require receipts for any travel expense over $30. For meals, we allow travelers to claim up to a maximum amount listed on the GSA.gov website for the cities they are traveling to, and they have to provide itemized meal receipts if the amount claimed is over $30.
