Q. When you receive a lien notice to direct payment of unpaid invoices to a supplier, would a W-9 and subsequent 1099 be required? A power of attorney was granted by the supplier to a loan service provider for receiving funds for unpaid invoices. We are booking the invoice to the supplier; however, payment is being made directly to a financial solutions provider.
