Outstanding check to be escheated to the state

Q. Hoping you can provide us with direction/ confirmation on an outstanding check that will soon need to be escheated to the State of Massatuchettes.In our review of the outstanding check, we eventually contacted a person who had some form of relationship with the company. They informed us that the company for which the check was issued, declared bankruptcy and that the check should now be reissued to the newly established company.
