Q. For an alumni event we hosted, we purchased 50 tickets from the New York Yankees that included seats to watch a Yankee game and access to ballpark food until the 5th inning. The NY Yankees is a partnership. Is this 1099 reportable and, if so, is it 1099- MISC or -NEC? If 1099-MISC, which box would it go in? A. (Answered by IOFM's third-party tax experts) Report on Form 1099-NEC, Box 1. 102257
