Supplier compliance issue

Q. We received a payment request from a supplier who I'll call Acme. The W-9 shows on line 1 Acme USA Inc., line 2 Smith & Jones LLC / DBA Lapin. Line 1 name TIN matched but Line 2 name did not. This supplier is requesting to issue the checks to Acme UK Inc. This is the first time we have this type of supplier. Should we request information from the supplier in the UK? Or it would be ok to issue the check since the supplier TIN-matched and we would add the UK name on the address…
