Tracking numbers on invoices

Q. I would like to know if it is industry standard for suppliers to provide (shipping) tracking numbers on invoices. If yes, I would like to add this as criteria for our invoicing guidelines which we submit to each new supplier. A. (Answered by the IOFM Advisory Panel) ----- Yes, most of our vendors put both the packing slip/shipping number in addition to our PO number on the invoice. At this point, we only require the PO number, but we have been asking for shipping also, which most are happy…
