Q. When a vendor marks the LLC check box but then puts P as the classification, I would select them as an LLC instead of a Partnership, correct? This is just the notification of what kind of LLC that vendor is correct? A. (Answered by IOFM's third-party tax advisor) Yes, you are correct. When "partnership" is selected (but not LLC), this means a partnership that is NOT an LLC. And then you have LLCs that mark a "P" showing that they are treated as a partnership.  115801
