Updating invoice due dates

Q. Invoices are often submitted late by our practice department. When invoices are processed, the due date shows the terms set by vendor master. How important is the anticipated pay date or pay date audit trail? Would it impact anything if the pay date is changed to current date? For example: Let’s say the Invoice is dated 06/30/2023. In reality, AP received it in Nov 2023 and AP processed it 11/25/2023.However, per the vendor master, the pay date would show 07/30/23 (net 30).On the AP aging,…
