Vendor submitting invoices under a different name

Q. We have a vendor that was submitting invoices in the name of XYZ Holdings Inc.; however, they are now submitting invoices in the name of JKLCorp. We submitted the TIN number through the IRS TIN Matching and found that it is not a match. When we reached out to the vendor they provided this response:"We have filed our name change with the Texas Secretary of State (we have confirmation of its official record) as well as the filing with the IRS.
