Q. We have a vendor that completed their W9 as follows: Box 1: Someone & Someone Companies IncBox 2: Someone LLC (00-0001234)Then supplied the TIN for the name in box 1 in Part I of the W9. However, when we put it into our system, we were instructed to use only box 2's name and TIN. Questions:1. Should the W9 just reflect the name and TIN that are listed in box 2 if that is the one that transactions are going against?2. Is there a scenario where it is OK for us to accept a W9 like this and…
