Withholding and reporting for a Canadian supplier of goods

Q. We have a vendor located in Canada providing goods, no services. They exist in our system already and were wanting to update banking information with us. They supplied a W-9 rather than the W-8 we were supplied with initially when they were setup in JDE when they submitted the payment info in Coupa. Should we have them in our system using the W9 or W8 information? They have a tax id reflected on the W-9 beginning 98. If they were a services vendor instead would a different requirement…
