Bethany has more than 30 years of experience within the Healthcare Industry, specializing in Shared Service Environments. She currently leads a 32-person Accredited Payables Department ensuring the accuracy of $2 billion in annual payments.

Renee Genco

Johns Hopkins Health System

Renée has more than 10 years of accounting-related experience and is currently leading an AP Shared Services team of 36. She holds a certificate in Forensic Accounting from Georgetown University.

Sharon Burrell
Chapter Secretary
University of Maryland Medical System

Overseeing a team of ten, Sharon ensures that over 30,000 vendor invoices are processed quickly and accurately each month. Managing the UMMS AP Production Team since 2009, Sharon is focused on implementing new technology to process over 80% of the invoices electronically. Her team, a part of an IOFM Accredited Payables Department, is also charged with processing check requests and recurring payments.

Judy Morgan
Membership Chair
University of Maryland Medical System

Judy has more than 40 years’ experience working in Healthcare with a background in AR, Payroll, Treasury and Accounts Payable. She is currently the Accounts Payable Customer Service/Issue Resolution Manager for Finance Shared Services including a Customer Service Support & Call Center.

The Baltimore/Washington D.C. Regional Chapter will network and share ideas regarding their processes, internal controls, compliance, and regulations.

Outside of our annual conferences, Chapters will provide our financial operations community the opportunity to meet on a quarterly basis.
