General Nutrition Center's AP Department

"First, I just need to say that my Manager and Supervisor have been rock stars since the beginning of this!

For most of my department, working remotely was a new area for us and by March 13, they had the whole company working remotely to see how that would affect the system. We have been working remotely since then and only allowed to come into the office if absolutely necessary.

With a department that works so closely together on a daily basis this has been a real struggle. But with daily contact from our manager and supervisor, we have been making it work — from assisting with cash flow and managing payments to figuring out how to process invoices. 

We have also had to maintain the same level of work with less people as our department lost 3 staff members due to company-wide furloughs. We have all taken on additional responsibilities, some of which we are not totally familiar with.

With problems and issues popping up in other areas, those teams are turning to AP for answers. Working together, we have been able to get the needed answers for a quick resolution.

We are all working under conditions that have never been seen before or that we ever thought would happen. But our manager and supervisor have had our backs since day one. Whether it's a call to just vent or to help talk through a work issue, they are there for us."
