Q. We have 4H kids that particpate in the County Fair. When they sell their livestock, we send them a 1099-MISC, box 3. This year, we are charging a 3% commission to the participant. For example, the participant sells their livestock for $5500, we charge a $150 commission, so their check is $5350. Do we report the $5500 or the $5350 on the 1099-MISC box 3? A.
