Are C Corporations Exempt from 1099-NEC for Accounting Services?

Q. Do we need to issue 1099-NEC to an accounting firm for services we received (such as tax return prep, audit services, and accounting services)? Based on their W9, their tax classification is a C Corporation. A. (Answered by IOFM's third-party tax expert) If they mark that they are a C Corporation, you would not need to send them a 1099. The corporate exception applies to accounting services.  #123031
