Q. When submitting a 1099-NEC correction, what should the amount be? Example: The original 1099 reflected $2500, but it should really be $0. Should the corrected 1099 reflect $0? A. (Answered by IOFM's third-party tax expert) Yes, if the correct amount is zero, then the corrected 1099 would show zero. If the system you are using won't accept zero as an entry, leave it blank instead. 123254
