Q. If we submit our 1099-NEC / 1099-MISC forms via the FIRE system, but then need to make a correction, can we submit a correction manually via the IRIS system? Our ERP system does not support corrections so we are not able to upload them into the FIRE system.  I have heard you MUST submit the correction in the original system you submitted the 1099, but I have also heard you can utilize IRIS for just the correction.
