Q. I would like some assistance in submitting a 1096 form. If I have 1 additional non-employee income that I need to report to the IRS do I need to submit the form or can this be done electronically? A. (Answered by IOFM's third-party tax expert) If this is an original form, you could e-file it even if you paper-filed the others. If submitting on paper, you would prepare a Form 1096 just reporting whatever you are sending at that time. 118188
