Can 1099-MISC Be Printed On Regular Paper?

Q. We usually purchase 1099-MISC forms from National Print and promo. But it was mentioned that 1099-MISC can be printed on regular paper. Is that true? A. (Answered by IOFM's third-party tax expert) For forms sent to the recipient, it doesn't matter if you print on any particular type of paper. Note, however, if you're using software to prepare the 1099s, it may be simpler to use pre-printed forms such as you are doing. If you are filing with the IRS, you must use the special paper type.…
