The IOFM 2020 Department of the Award Program was created to give well-deserved recognition to financial operations teams navigating the unprecedented circumstances of 2020.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw extraordinary and innovative efforts by financial operations departments to keep businesses operating as usual and adapt to the "new normal." It has become increasingly evident how essential these functions are to companies.
The IOFM 2020 Department of the Month Award Program highlighted one financial operations department each month for their best-in-class performance. Each department was awarded $10 Amazon gift cards for each team member ($100 max) and was honored on IOFM.com.
In order to be eligible, the department's primary responsiblities must include AP, P2P, AR or O2C, and the department must have demonstrated best-in-class status through outstanding efforts as a team. What does this mean? It is purposefully broad — it could be anything from going above and beyond to improve processes/efficiency, innovating solutions in the face of unprecedented challenges, implementing best practices, demonstrating collaboration and/or leadership.
As part of our mission to raise the profiles of financial operations teams, IOFM continually seeks to create opportunities to recognize noteworthy achievements and high performance in financial operations.
