Q. We have a professional contractor how lives in Canada and provides phone consultations on a monthly basis. Once a year he travels to the US, which we compensate him for along with compensation for in-house consultation. He has a US SSN and a Foreign Tax ID. Do I need to send him a 1099 or 1042 for the work performed in the US? A.
