Q. We received a W-9 where the TIN Check matches Box 1. They added a different company in Box 7 that does not match the TIN and sent invoices from the Box 7 company. They are asking for payment to the Box 7 company. Can we pay the Box 7 company? Should we pay invoices to the Box 1 company, even though the invoice submitted has no reference to this company? A.
