Q. We are a city municipality and offer for neighborhood improvements grants of up to $3,000 and neighborhood mini grants (up to $100, $250 and $500). The goal is to “promote positive neighboring activities and community improvement.” We are trying to decide if any of these grants are 1099 reportable. We do say, “Grants will be provided on a reimbursement basis at the completion of the project(s) or event(s) stated in the application.” When the projects are completed they must submit three…
