Q. We have one vendor whose TIN was rejected due to mismatch. I tried using his middle name and just legal first name and last name, but it is still rejected. What should we do in this case? The vendor is filing as individual using SSN.  A.  (Answered by IOFM's third-party tax expert) You have two options: Technically, you could choose to do nothing and just go with what the vendor put on the W-9.
