Gail Robinson
Training Advisor, IOFM

For almost 10 years, Gail Robinson has helped empower hundreds of financial operations professionals with the skills and training offered through IOFM’s Certification Programs. She provides advice and support on keeping up with the changes and regulations needed to successfully navigate and thrive in today’s challenging finance environment. Gail is AP Certified with a technical background in software and engineering.


Allison Hughes
APM – Training Advisor, IOFM

As a Certified IOFM Advisor, Allison has been helping financial operations individuals and teams boost performance and expand their knowledge and expertise since 2014. Her focus is to help ensure that financial operations professionals are working at their greatest levels of efficiency. She is dedicated to helping organizations assess their needs, develop plans of study appropriate for their goals, and identify resources in a dynamically changing financial environment.


Doreen Smuda
APM – AP & AR Manager, Cameco Corporation

Doreen Smuda, APM, has more than 40 years of experience in finance and accounting. She has led Cameco Corporation’s accounts payable team since 2004 and is Manager of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. In this position, she ensures that the AP and AR departments are grounded with strong documented processes, controls, and compliance. Doreen is an active member of IOFM and is a long-time member of the IOFM Advisory Panel. Under her guidance, her entire team achieved IOFM’s “Accredited Payables Department” certification in 2017. That same year, IOFM recognized the Cameco AP team with the “IOFM Department of the Year” award. Additionally, Doreen helped found the first virtual IOFM Chapter and the first Canadian chapter coast to coast. Doreen has worked conscientiously to provide Canada a greater presence among the IOFM membership.


Bilyana Gavrilova
AOCM, APS, APM – Shared Services Manager, Catalina

In her current role, Bilyana oversees Payroll, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Collections and Billing, and Contracting Operations teams. Her teams are focused on process improvement practices and standardization and implementation of technology solutions to automate and allow the organization to operate more effectively and efficiently. She is passionate about learning and developing herself and her teams through webinars, courses, and learning on the job. Her best reward is the growth of her team and being part of their career journey. She has 20 years of financial operations experience and holds AOCM certification from IOFM.


Josh Barrett
Director, IOFM

Josh Barrett joined the Institute of Finance & Management (IOFM) in 2017 has served as the organization’s director since 2020. His is responsible for management of IOFM’s Membership and Certification, its virtual and in-person events, and its demand generation offerings.

Josh is committed to ensuring that IOFM is the premier provider of training and education for financial operations professionals, working closely with a team of content developers, industry leaders and subject matter experts.

Prior to joining IOFM, Josh spent 20 years working in marketing and advertising with companies including L.L.Bean, Globe Manufacturing, the Maine Office of Tourism and Bentley University.
